As active land managers, California State Parks (CSP) takes on many different types and levels of resource management projects, as funding is available. The mission of CSP calls for resource protection and restoration as well as for providing recreation. These parks units had various impacts prior to purchase by CSP, as well as ongoing uses and impacts. Thus some of these projects are aimed at repairing or restoring large scale resource problems while others reduce impacts of current facilities or conditions.
